Thanks. I had a massive breast reduction, went down 8 cup sizes. Still healing but back feels much better now!
Ive never been brave enough to try for that. It must be wonderful not to feel like a T-rex anymore as well.

Sounds like you're making real progress with this, congratulations!
It seems that there are many ways to create sex linked chicks that don't follow the traditional pattern.
When you cross black skinned silkie rooster with white skinnned EE hens, the girls all have light skin and the boys have black skin.

Exactly why you'd be perfect for the job of proofreader in the Confusion Club!!Oh you just do not know how horrible I would be. I can't get it right when proofreading the fanfics I write
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...night is when they'd need warmth the most, if it is a red heat lamp, they can sleep with it on. I'd have it come on at dusk & off at about 10 am instead of off at night.Battle Ground area: We have two 1 months old chicks fully feathers, like to moves them in to their coop. Is the weather still too cold for the two of them (only have 2)?
Weather been dropping below 40s. The coop does have a heat lamp with timer, we do turn the lamp off so they can sleep at night.
Red lamps help with heat yes but only young hens need supplemental heat in our area. Heating adults in the winter can lead to all sorts of problems that I wont delve into here.More questions - The normal lamp with 16 hours timer is for the chicken to lay year round (also keep warm when it's too cold outside).
The red lamp is only for keeping warm?
Do I still need a normal lamp after installing a red lamp (to help the chicken laying year round)?
Our two chicks are still kept in the garage at this time. Just making sure before instructing them to their new home.
