Woo hoo! I got my first (soft shell) egg from this years batch of pullets, they are 16 weeks. Jasmine is a White Leghorn.
Congrats! That's an early laying bird! My project girls started around 18-20 weeks old this year, I was super excited to have them lay that young but you have me beat by 2 weeks!

This might be a long shot but is anyone interested in some raw goat milk? I have access to a few gallons of it that is overflow from a dairy. PM me if interested!

I've been lurking for 3 years. Live in Port Ludlow Washington and now have 30 chickens...Wait 9 pullets 2 roosters and 19 chickens. If my chicken math is correct.

Welcome. I'm a neighbor on Marrowstone Island and was just part of a Sustainable Poultry Network seminar held in Port Ludlow this past weekend.
What type of birds do you have?

How goes the battle getting everything done?
little puffy cheeks showing up all over the place now

I've been scraping chipped paint of this porch railing for the last 2 weeks! I'm finally almost finished. Then it gets washed and painted. Then the brick border can get done. Then the cockerels will be dealt with....
On the plus side, one of my Valentines Day girls is almost ready to lay. Any day now...
