I am at the point where I am going to get rid of this new $$$$$$$$$ computer AND already got a land line phone...and that's it ! DONE with socaila media !

Some of the best entertainment out there is to toss a handful of berries in the chicken pen and watch them fight. Everyone can have at least one, but no. Greedy piglets want them all

Ugh. I have 2 roosters and 2 Cockrels to process but can't imagine doing it with a 7 week old baby. Hard to clean birds while baby wearing without getting him messy I bet!

Put the baby down, and then take care of business.

Pretend you are a pioneer woman, with up to 12 kids.
It happend.
Nothing stopped great grandma from grabbing the bird & having chicken & dumplins ready when the men folk came home from building a cabin.
The hardest part was when it rained 24/7 (as it does here) and the pioneers were stuck IN their Conastoga wagons.........unable to build a fire for hot vittles..............they had to exist eating the old biscuits & chicken gravy that was made the day before.

Athena was making sure nothing happened to the little boy when I took him out for a photo session.

It has been 2 weeks since my surgeries so I got the stitches taken out and the incisions are taped while they continue to heal. I am a week away from being able to bear weight on my ankle and heel. I no longer need pain killer medication but I am taking Tylenol for the muscle spasms and muscle cramps. I still have some nerve damage that I think will improve over the next few weeks as the incisions heal. The pain I have had for the past year is gone so now it is just the temporary discomfort from surgery that I am dealing with for a few weeks.

FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been far too long in pain !!!

Dateline: YESTERDAY: Commotion in the back room. I run just as fast as I can - which is not very fast. Open the door to see this little guy in Momo's mouth. I yell. Kitty drops the chick but stays in hunt mode. I swept the chick up so fast and run to the laundry room. Ten chicks running loose and panicked. I quickly move them back into the laundry basket brooder. Then, still holding this little guy to check for injury, I yell for Drew who wrangles another chick who had escaped the cat by hiding under the washer.
This chick's name is now Lucky.



This morning we took a 3x5 wire dog cage and put 5" of hardware cloth all around the bottom of the walls. Now everyone is happily playing and safe in the sunshine.
