Happy Birthday !Today is my birthday so I took it easy all day. My recovery from surgery is going well. I am up to full weight bearing but my muscles are sore and they spasm after a workout so I have to take it slowly. I have been using the bike at the gym and doing physical therapy at home so I am building strength and getting on my feet gradually. I have stabbing and feelings of electrical currents running through the top of the foot and toes but that is supposed to resolve in the next few months. I am trying to desensitize the surgical incisions but other than the strange sensations they are healing nicely.
WTH ????????????????The city water guy just broke my water line, but since the break happened on our side of the meter, it's our responsibility to pay for it. No plumbers are available for over a week...
Seems the city still needs to deal with it since so many vehicles run over it.To understand the situation, you need to know where the meter access is. It's right on the shoulder of the road. The stretch of road in front of my property is the only section of actual shoulder for a good quarter mile. A lot of cars stop along there for various reasons, and they usually end up sitting right on top of the meter access. The meter is surrounded by concrete, but it's set so that about half the concrete 'shield' is sitting on soft soil. The pressure from numerous vehicles driving over it was enough to cause a crack in the pipe. It wasn't till the meter reader drove his truck over it, that a noticeable leak occurred. But, since the break happened on the pipe that is technically my property, we are responsible for fixing it, even if it was the city's truck that did the damage.
We have our own water, as in, this property is fully self contained.that stink's ours is actually behind our fence line a few feet into the yard
the guys were stepping over bending the wire to get a reading we have
offered a gate be placed there

Our fair is this Thursday on~~~ I think, I am not getting involved althought have been asked a few times to help judge, and do disease testing~~~~~~~ it is too hot, Fair needs to be earlier...............like in June, before birds molt and all the veggies die.We have the county fair this week. Of course, I went to the small animal barn and there were hardly any chickens!!!! Also, it has been very close to 100 this week and my gilt pig decided it was time to farrow!!!! Ugh. I have been dehydrated all week after staying outside in the barn with her. My spring chickens are starting to lay eggs. I have several Buff Orpingtons and Silver Wyandottes. We are now getting too many eggs. However, I remember last winter having to buy eggs. lol.
