The blue layers' chicks should lay either green or blue. The green layers' chicks might lay blue, green, or brown, depending on what they inherit. The brown layers' chicks could lay either brown or green. Pea combed chicks have the best odds for green or blue. Single combed chicks will most likely end up laying brown.

Did someone say Chicksssss? I hadn't planned on hatching any out this late but I couldn't resist some local svart hona hatching eggs. My first attempt at hatching svart honas in the Spring was with shipped eggs that did not go very well. This time around 5 hatched and so far it looks like only 1 of them is a boy. They're 5 and a half weeks old now. I also have two swedish flowers that are 7.5 weeks old, one boy and one girl.

Hello @penny1960 They're a little on the smaller size but definitely not banty small. The black ones are only 5.5 weeks old and the other two are 7.5 weeks old.
