Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Mine won't leave the coop either. Which is silly because their run is totally covered. I got worried because I hadn't seen any of them out all day so I went and checked on them and they were all just sitting there on the roosts and floor being lazy.

The silkies wont touch the snow. They have 10x15 covered in the runs though.

The big girls got over it when I tossed out scratch yesterday. Now they beg me to open the run because they remembered the back door is the warmest place to hang out. That door gets hot even when it's in the teens if it's sunny

my coop I have said before 17 ft sq ft diameter round
they have a 6 x 2.5 table to roost on made from pallets so no one
board continue on the 2.5 Blue has started roosting at the back of the Barred's not beside but behind
and they don't argue he has come up in their eyes I guess

Afternoon how is everyone? still filling water dishes line frozen solid
the birds think me filling the cups think it's a treat

We caved and ran an outdoor extension cord to a heated dog bowl in the coop. Cords connected with a little waterproof thingy, nothing has yet electrocuted anybody.

I broke through the ice and fell in the marsh up to my thighs. I thought it was solid ground since there was grass. The dog rushed over and let me use her as bracing to get out of the mud suction
