It was 7 degrees here this morning wind is blowing again now, warm up a little please.

Spent the morning making sure all the critters had fresh litter and bedding.

I rearranged the tarp over part of the run to accommodate all the snow and freezing rain were supposed to get. It's snowing like crazy right now. But the freezing rain is what's really going to suck.
And one of my chickens laid an egg today ! Of course it's frozen solid but hey it's an egg.

see how they where Mom we need water even Blue was at the buckets while I was still pouring
take water out about 6 times a day otherwise it freezes before they get it drunk
James picked up a new feed scoop using pcv for feeders pours to a point so works great

Oh man, yesterday was not the day to travel out on i-90 in the pass. But we (eventually) made it back with a pair of cute Serama.

Increase their protein intake. Not a guarantee, but it may help get some of them back into condition for laying. Production usually starts to pick back up around February.
