Well the big girls are hanging out on my back step. Again. If I open their pen they make a run for it then fight over who gets the warmest spot.

We got December's power bill. Um yeah. Nothing like running electric heat to make you get out and split wood. It works better on the really cold nights anyway.

I have seen that yes I picked up very old style plucker from a old chicken farmer
for 80.00 and I am willing to let others but would rather have them use it here


I do know when you plug it in works no start button but knee wire to pull them close
together thought about making a few cones of wood

It got too -13 here last night. For some reason now my chickens are starting to lay eggs I know at least four different ones arlene judging by the different colored shells.

I didn't realize that the days had really changed all that much. But I guess it was just enough.

Well, my pipes are frozen. Just the ones in the bathtub, the others are fine. But I wanted to take a nice long hot bath tonight to warm up. Oh well.

That's not good wonder why it was so much colder over there this morning it was 7 here. The first cold spell my well house froze the heater quit working early in the morning went to have coffee and no water I was lucky thawed it out and nothing broken. Have new heater now
