I took one of the 3 week olds outside today. It stood in the grass frozen stiff and trembling at the huge space. Only relaxed after I tucked it under my chin. They will be getting a house outside the back door soon. I want them out of the bathroom

I prefer to let a hen do the spoiling. Some of these chicks get held a lot so they will be great picture birds. Hubby's favorite is a boy I think though. I think the two white chicks are boy and girl.

After a rough day at work, my girls surprised me with my first egg from the Ameraucana chicks that I got in early June! Just the surprise I needed. Now to get hubbs excited like me and get those breeding pens set up

ohhhhhhh! before her first molt mine layed that color egg, now she lays a sort of soft green

The new buck is settling in. He's a California/New Zealand/Giant Chinchilla cross.

And the two 5 week old red New Zealand does that will be his girlfriends.

The buck is a second generation mix of New Zealand, California, and Giant Chinchilla. The little does are 75% New Zealand, 25% California.
