Howdy Aaron !
Nice to meet you & glad you have joined our addiction !
Try the "For Sale" area of BYC to find your Bourbon Red eggs for sale ?
Poults maybe can be found at your feed stores coming up in a month or so, ask there & see if you can request the poults you are after.
As far as show quality BRs, I do not know a soul raising them here in WA.

Does anyone here make chicken saddles? I have a couple hens that are the favorites and are in need of some extra protection for their backs.
I do, but have no time to make anymore...they are easy to make if you sew.

Otherwise, I have bought some from Etsy that were great !
I have a link somewheres....

this is not the one I got before but looks OK

then this, THIS LOOKS GOOD< but, is it elastic or cord ? If you get any that have snaps, glue the plastic snaps when you snap them on, or they always fall off ! ( I use gorilla glue on plastic snaps.)

That said, there is some people here on BYC selling saddles, too.

I'm wanting to start a garden this year, but have ZERO idea how or what to plant!
I am on the Willapa Bay area, and we plant zuchinni, paddy pans, sweet meats, pumpkins, spaghetti squash, Oregon Sugar snap peas (Snow peas) and Roma pole beans (so good !) and 3 varieties of tomatoes (2 red small varieties and 1 yellow...I like them better than big slicer tomatoes.) And all sorts of herbs, rosemary, sage, oregano, thyme, garlic, usually onions (Candy variety starts available in Montesano are AWESOME!!) but I am not doing them this year..................Lemon Grass, Chamomile...........

The trick is getting the variety that suits your climes.

I've ordered saddles from here before too. It was easier for me than trying to figure out the wing protectors. They are two layers of durable fabric. I think it's duck cloth.

Two of my silkies are wearing the winter ones (shearling bottom) right now. They are rooster favorites and get thin in winter on the back because of it.
