Finally after 14 days the broody hen is broke. She was a tough cookie there was no change until 3 days ago I took her out of the cage as she just wasn't eating enough to stay alive I put her in the back yard with her food and water she started to pick a little grass the ate and drank a little and then just hung around still fluffing up in a ball if you came close left her out all day then put back in cage at night. Finally today she is back to normal, now I can start on the next one

Last winter sure stunk it was so cold it killed all of my roses but one and the one that lived all died above ground it's coming back but all new stuff coming up from under ground. I lost a bunch of other plants as well. The clematis did real well though they are blooming like crazy.

Hubby is home I never have time if he's home all day. He got a layoff notice yesterday. Good thing he knew they were likely and applied around a month ago. He starts the new job monday. He would have given a two week then this hit

He was well qualified for it. It's pretty much what he's done for the last 29 years. He has the veteran's preference and he gets along well enough with anyone. That last one is a big thing for here. They don't want conflict. Hubby isn't a drama queen.

1988 to 2008. He was a Navy aviation electrical technician. I was in when I first met him. He was a friend of a friend. We were at each others throats for years and didn't get along. Our 17th anniversary is coming up and we dated for about 2 years before that.

I agree! I had 7 rose trees die on me! They were beautiful.. New shoots are coming up but now they will be bushes not trees. I also think my butterfly bush is dead. Does anyone else have one? How is it doing? I cut it way back early this spring but there isn't any new growth yet.
