I dont usually get giant eggs anymore. Had a poor silkie lay a large egg once. I felt so bad for her

The silkies are slowing the laying. They'll pick up in a few weeks.

Another old ameraucana started laying again.

The new chickens are settling in. I brought them some treats today so now they like me i’m still trying to get over how big they are. They are absolute Giants compared to my other chickens. We got about 3 inches of snow last night. In their pen I set up a covered litter box with a fake egg in it hoping they will figure out that’s where they’re supposed to lather eggs. So far one lays a green egg and one laser brown egg.

do not be upset if they stop for a few weeks after those quite common guess my others are mad at me for something else one here so far and one pecked in the nest so far
