We strapped the fence panel to the coop.

My big girl coop is just a walled in 8x15 awning.

I was actually thinking of taking down 3 sides but leaving the framework up. Adding some more support and then building a coop inside/off the back and have the shed be mostly the run. I think it would be more cost effective for me. And i think I can use the sideing I take off to build the actual coop.

That should work. I'd use hardware cloth for the run walls then in 1/2 or 1/4 inch. Screw it up and down between wall joists. It can be a little expensive, but it's the safest. Chicken wire is only good for keeping chickens in and breaking. It doesn't keep predators out at all. Amazon is by far the cheapest place to buy it.

It looks like it will be bigger than the walk in coop/run combo they have over at Coastal. It would be fine for a handful of hens.

Rule of thumb is 4 sq ft inside and 10 sq ft outside per bird. If the outside is covered, can have less inside and more outside and it equals out pretty well.

I'd make the coop area raised up a couple feet so that the birds can have extra space. I can stretch and reach 3 feet in to clean out a coop, so I'd make it 3x however wide. I'd do width of structure with part of that nesting boxes.

How big is that building? do you intend to give them anytime outside ?

5 X 7 X 6'
I am hoping to keep the roof on.
I wanr the coop to be off the ground and nest boxes on the back outside the run. Also off the ground.
