A certificate from the APA ?
What does it say ? That they are poultry ? :gig
Sorry, just had to ask.
Or members ?
I am a member, too, most hatcheries are, and alot of small breeders too.
I get my Marans from Marans Club of America breeders, like Bev Davis and Wade Jean.
I have never seen GFF do much other than import birds from someone else.
That's the second time you have been nasty to me for no reason I hope you are happy with yourself. There is a copy of the certificate on there site if you are interested. Nice BYC friend. Good By

It's just a size thing. I now normally give the hens dummy eggs and use the bator if I really want the eggs to hatch.

If I give a hen eggs, 8 silkie eggs is about max. They can handle 6 large eggs. If they are in a warm, draft free space, less issues with covering more eggs.

Oh and shipped eggs can have detatched air cells. Cant stick that under a broody. Can put it in a bator. Same with hairline cracks. Or full on cracks for that matter. I had an EE hen accidentally crack 2 eggs about a week in. I very carefully applied the wax to just the cracks and put them in the bator. They hatched
