Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Glad to hear Junebuggena is doing well and getting back to normal! my thoughts and prays were with you! I've also been to the Monroe Fairgrounds and that has always been a lot of fun and also wonderful friendly people... we recommend everyone going.

Monroe is heck of a long way away sorry, will not see us there but
will be this weekend at the Chehalis poultry auction our Cole Creek road in
Chehalis I have several to get rid of

I officially have my first aggressive broody. I've had hens take chunks out of me before for checking or taking eggs. They stayed on their nest though. This little hen not only took a try at my hands, she got off the nest and came after me, and then after Zeus because he was near the coop checking for rodents. Startled him into running because he's always believed chickens are out to kill him.

The silkie pullet only weighs a pound and a half. She's not exactly scary.

nope all four are in boxes now only banty eggs are in the main coop two I bought not knowing they where banty but the silky only one strikes at me but not huge or really
mean three in one nest the one slime on does not have eggs so when I go in she sits in my lap till i am done then goes back

Hi all! We are new here and in the Woodland/LaCenter area! We have 12 new baby chicks and this is our first flock! They are just over 3 weeks old and getting big SO fast! currently have them in the big metal water trough with a mesh cover but its getting tight quarters in there! The lady at wilco said i could keep them in there till they were 18 weeks.... i don't think i believe her!

My first Muscovy egg! I shall name it Pat.

I can't stress enough how much help this Wa. State thread will be to you. I just finished my first year and it went much smoother with them. I don't think there is one single thing you could ask these guys that they don't know. Seriously.
