went did the main coop have not even been in Silky land yet

welcome to our washington group me thinks your right have you decided what to for a coop ? you might want to get that figured out once they have feathers they do not need heat

That is great now prefab shed does not normally have soffits for ventilation or hardware cloth over windows best bed we have allot of threads about turning a shed into a coop
once you have it or even as you know what your getting look through there for the refitting including a door for the peeps a little ladder to get in and out, it does mean you can get more peeps now

Currently we’re at 4 weeks old and outgrowing the brooder! It’s too cold to let them outside at all, so they are in the garage, but we’re trying to come up with a big enough space to contain the 12 of them ! Thinking a dog yard (metal fencing that folds up) with netting on the top so they don’t fly out! what did I get myself into?! Lol

It’s too cold to let them outside at all, so they are in the garage, but we’re trying to come up with a big enough space to contain the 12 of them ! lot's of fun and eggs that's why ..... dog yard is lots of work you do not want predators reach in and out no problem cost a fortune to wrap it in hardware cloth I do know folks that use them on older full grown birds or almost full grown but home to watch them netting is cheap off amazon 50 x 50

Got attacked taking the chicks out to the hens. Two of the girls were upset about the crying chicks and couldn't get to them fast enough. They blamed me for the crying and bit me. I was trying to put them under Pumice but the other two kept trying to reach under and take them. Ended up having to just set the chicks down and watch the jostling to get them under the hens.

All settled down now

They are so much fun my two little peeps are doing just peachy with three to protect from me now
