Possibly could be wait a bit then you will know none have started laying yet have they

Nah but they are still pretty young I figure they wont start laying until spring. So I probably wont know for sure until then.

I never guess by tail. Hatchery hens can have long looking skinny things and roosters can take forever to get them. Hackles and saddle feathers, comb and wattles. Those are better indicators.
