We tend to see a 12 step program as a challenge to get enough chickens to squeeze in and totally fill those 12 steps.

You guys have me laughing so hard I am crying! Someone local to me sales shirts that say chickens....the gateway drug to farming. The more I hang out here the more right that is.

Need to hide illicit chicken keeping in town? Those aren't silkie chickens, they are rare asian ground parrots.

Live in a apartment? There is a chicken for that. Couple seramas and a nice cage.

We all been there at one time when we decided to move here where kinda in a hurry I bought these chicks all living in the basement even had on cockerel down that before we closed out here 4 years ago now

So the teen that I thought may be a rooster because its tail. Well I think it's actually molting. Its dropping feathers like crazy and I keep checking her over. She is healthy, no mites.

not unusual for her to loose some feathers wait till you have been around them a few years kinda like the first kid thing your not going to kill them that easy

Oh yeah. Go out to the pen and find tons of feathers all over. Do a panicked head count. Find the hen who decided overnight to drop half her feathers
