Anyone else have a crazy night of winds and power outages?

Crazy wind and a crap ton of rain, no power outage which seems like a miracle

I went into my favorite nursery to buy my onion starts and SURPRISE they had some 2 week old BCM chicks. Impulse bought 3. I would have got blue Marans as well except they were only a few days old so not the same ages.

Not certain we get it from there ... We are in Lewis County here farming country
if you google Tacoma power parks there is Mayfield and Riffe .. Eons ago they flooded
the town of Riffe to make it a lake with a dam

You are quite a ways down there. Do people wave down there, stop to help you if you’re broken down type stuff?

Sure we do the person I went with to Auction today is the Postmistress for three town around here we a buds through chickens but we are friends

So if my measurements are correct, you need to be about 100 miles away from Seattle (any direction) and people become friendly! Only took me 13 years to figure that out.

People up here will run you over, then flip you off for looking at them wrong.

Nope we are friendly I grew up on Cattle Ranch out by what is now Maple Valley we had 160 acres out there I recall when it was all farms..

Just bought 6 acres up here or we would! Or head east towards Okanogan or Omak. Another friendly place in Washington.

Yes but Omak has rattle snakes do not like snakes that can take me out ..
reach in for a egg Bam bit by a rattler

Freeze if you hear a rattle. Then slowly back away after you find out where it's coming from. No fast movements. I was hammered into me since I started walking. Rattlers are an issue in Eastern Oregon as well.

We also had this stupid weed that when dried, the seed heads sounded like a snake. There was also this snake that would hiss in a rattle sound to mimic rattlers but didn't look like them.
