Wow see we set in the perfect place for no natural disaster ever but our trees
have several so overgrown the major one will take out the house if it goes
need a really young buck to get it down

So much rain, and no relief in sight. I'm starting to freak out as the creek floods higher and higher. Water has reached the house's foundation now on the side closest to creek and reaching back maybe 20' and septic system is overloaded. Chicken run is completely underwater along with the rest of the lawn - chickens are currently locked in the coop. Sigh.....

It's the most flooded Ive had here. Its up on Athena's chest by the weeds. I mow that normally.

Path to the silkie coops. They are covered and have lots of straw so the birds are dry.

I do not have standing water per say but the ground is saturated we are very slight incline
think we have great drainage but rubber boots all the way here

It's seriously a lot worse than last time (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/yay-flooding.1342945/). At least the chickens could go out last time. I had to lock them in today, the current is quite strong, about 4" deep outside the run and 2" inside the run.

What river are you close to there @rosemarythyme that really is awful ... would you like us to rescue your birds or ?

I'm fine, drowning in this rain as you know all of us low landers are. Working on my art and starting to look for some eggs....need more Ameracauna or maybe whiting tru blues ? Im still deciding ! How are you ?
