Welcome to the state thread Erika have not seen here before we are good down our way
staying home but needing to reinforce our front fence our mareema has realized she can go over it never tried till now not certain why

I don't post often but definitely search the forums often! But with the new "stay home" order I feel the need to reach out to my fellow chicken people. <3

About my current flock:
I live on a small one acre homestead and have 23 laying hens and 1 rooster at the moment, but am expecting 30 broilers from Jenks next week (maybe -- I assume that they'll still come since mail is an essential service).

I have a cream brabanter that is definitely the escape artist of the flock! She always finds the low points on the fence and just hops over. We've reinforced her latest escape route, but I'm sure in the next couple of months I'll find her outside the fence again. At least she is well trained and stays in our yard then will sit outside the fence when she is ready to go back inside.

Hello, All! I'd love to join the WA State thread.

We are in West Seattle, and I just want to get to know the other chicken people.

My poor little backyard flock is down to 2 chickens, an Easter Egger and a Brown Leghorn (the runt). The sweet handsome pullets in my avatar pick have sadly passed on, one to disease one to an eagle. If we have trouble buying chicks during Spring, I may be asking around to see if anyone chicken need adopting!

about 18 of them most will lay nice green and blue eggs but yes way south of you

Welcome to the thread @Cor.Wilson. Sure hope you can get the chicks you need. We had chicks in all the farm stores last week, so I expect you will. Just give it a few weeks.
