I don't bother, but I have enough birds to get plenty of eggs anyway. Young pullets each year help. The older easter eggers lay some even in the darkes months.

She is has she layed yet ? We just put our away for night the little barred rock had learned I am safe she comes up tpo me now knows I will take her outside .. she loves being in the grass

The little things are only just over 10 weeks. No eggs for at least another 20 for the silkie, probably longer.

also that hoop house in the background has so much lush grass in it aaaa! My quail are eyeing it from here
