It's not statewide. Only State parks and public lands. Counties are left to decide for themselves.

Pierce County has stated multiple times now that they're allowing fireworks in unincorporated areas.

Yeah one of my dogs gets "happy pills" around every 4th and NYE. He's currently hiding under hubby's desk. Doesn't help that with a fireworks stand right next door, the bored vendors like to set them off each night.

will never drug a dog or critter my view is they get more confused but I like each to his own also .. My birds are protesting the fireworks with just 4 eggs today

My dogs and cats are bomb proof. Bangs don't bother them. Even when we set off fireworks a few years ago they just picked a spot to lay down and watch with us. We like fountains and air burst sparkles best. It didn't even bother the chickens and they do the chicken equivalent of howling when a train actually go by.

Two neighbors have a gun range and we do occasionally hear the big booms from base.

My old schipperke never had issues except back in Virginia when the one hurricane was flinging buckets against the windows so hard I thought they might break. I was told it's our reaction to storms that helped teach them that it's nothing bad when they were puppies. I like thunderstorms and get excited to watch the lightning.

Oh and we don't get really good thunder here.
Moose is great, Puglsy is like 6 months old his first boom year .. Snow not sure why she is so stressed her hearing is good think I might start trying to temper her to noise little noise boom first

My dog that stresses out the most was a stray. We think he might've been shot at during his time on the streets/in the wild (he was caught in a rural area) so he's very upset by any loud sound such as engines backfiring, gunshots, thunder, etc.

That can make it very tough. Your love him as much but he still has old fears that you cannot erase

At least he is much better now. No whining, no risk of him throwing himself out a window (which happens every year with dogs) or running out through a screen door, he just huddles in a corner somewhere. We just need to take the edge off enough so he can handle going outside for 5 seconds to pee in the evening.

Snow is not quite that stressed and Booms seem to end at 10 here
