Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

When I decided to get birds moving here .. I bought prefabricated coop. There is outfit they mailed it.
I had 6 barred rock it could hold 2 it was shabby .. ended up using it as a hospital coop then gave it away later.
Telling them it could only hold like 2 big birds 3 little ones.
Not very secure either.
I remember looking at those and thinking the coyotes and huge raccoons could knock it over or just tear it apart.

Thanks for the recommendations on a coop builder everyone! I have been in contact and going back and forth with Donald (The Original Chicken Man) and he really does do amazing work! All custom built. So I've come up with a design and going to book him! He's about 8 - 10 weeks out for production time so it will be good timing for my move up there in Jun. See my attached design sketch. Let me know if you have any other thoughts. The shed coop (with storage) and run will be a fully covered, continuous gable pitch roof. Coop/henhouse is 8'x5'. Run is 8'x14'. I only have 4 girls today and looking to add 4 to 6 more in the next year or two.

That looks just great! Just make sure the community you’re going to be moving to allows chickens! Good luck and keep us posted!

That looks like it would work pretty good.
