The medication in Medicated Chick starteer is an anti parasitic to prevent coccidiosis. Its not an antibiotic or steriod. It prevents coci caused by the organisms invading the baby chick's gut before it has time to build immunity. All babies get this, it's called scours in horses calves & pigs. Just sayin'

Some peeps out here in my area are just freaking out! And we don't know where the Pac County outbreak was, and why won't the Dept of Ag tell us ???? Just agonizing and infuriating.
