I feel fortunate that I found 5 point of lay pullets this summer! They are laying their little hearts out and very friendly birds too!

That would be fun! The only auction I've ever been to is one where they were selling used cop cars. It was fun! Ds got a solid car for around $3000.

I love the bird auctions even more than farm animals. Although you know will not have ducks or rabbits here.

I hated the Chehalis auction, the way they handled the birds. But that is just tender hearted me. I paid money to go in and left without seeing a single bird, except the one being carried around by its feet.

We are only getting a couple eggs a day right now. It's winter. Not a death sentence for hens in my coop. We got 4 today. A red letter day for sure. I don't expect my hens to lay during the winter. I don't provide much heat or light, so they do what chickens do. Lay off laying for a few months. We'll survive it.
