47 here right now birds gave me 7 eggs.

My silkies can successfully do it this time of year here, but normally all of them take this month off.

We keep silkie pretty warm in their coop close the door it is a large coop.
We use a cat box but intend to take a tire make it the dirt bath.

She is so friendly still I just adore her. She lays most days for us.
Want real bad to be a moma will let her in a few months.
I have their tractor in hardware cloth 4 feet up even could put peeps in with them.

I just bought mine off the shelf at a local farm store and it works fine. My recommendation is to make sure it has an automatic egg turner in it.

I have a Brinsea Octagon. It's pretty much set and forget. And I just looked it up and they don't make that model anymore. Brinsea incubators are expensive but control temp and humidity better than styrofoam incubators. Plenty of people have had success with those, though.

Sometimes I just let the silkies hatch on their own, but many times I incubate and make the silkies raise them.
