Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We have snow. and frozen water dishes.
I just bought some eggs from 2 different stores, I have hatched before,(local farms) and they were pretty.
Eggs to the left were $6.99, the eggs to the right were from a health food store $8.40.
Candled and I yanked one of the eggs on the right (crack) and the gray to the front right is from my chickens. (Rooster went to another farm a month ago, but I hope it is still fertile.)

I cannot find these local eggs very often, so I grabbed them.

Good luck on the hatch!!!

Oh what fun Kim I have 4 marans and 5 blue.

Anything from the black half silkie hen will just be mixed to partridge. She throws very nice chicks that look silkie. The lavender partridge hens are the ones I really want chicks from. All those chicks will be splits and I'll choose a rooster from them to get a few more lavender partridge next year. The hens I have are getting older.

All the pullets in that pen haven't started laying yet so now is a good time to get what I want

I'm REALLLLLLLYYYYY not interested in dealing with chicks (yes, I know they're cute, but that's just more than I want to tackle). But, we're wanting to add to our flock. In the past, we've been able to find pullets fairly easily, but it seems with the run on chicks these days, no one is selling pullets (they're all getting sold as chicks). That said, I figured I'd check here if anyone knows of any up for grabs? Pretty flexible on breed and egg color--more interested in consistent laying and disinclination towards broodiness. I'm in Tacoma, but willing to travel an hour or two to pick up at least 2-3 girls.
