Wow. It's raining this morning! I didn't even know we had rain in the forecast. I'm glad I didn't water the tomatoes yesterday.

Same here, but I wouldn't call it rain. Light sprinkles, maybe a few hundredths of an inch. I went ahead and watered the garden.

We had a little sprinkle also like the temp in the high 60's here.
I have the new cockerel Jake in the main coop girls are being good to him.
Have 4 Plymouth barred rock pullets in large wire crate in the coop also.

Barred Rock egg. The cockerels are Marans. When I hatch out some of the Marans X Barred Rock chicks I'm hoping they'll lay darker eggs.

that is one I could do easy apple pie... I make apple pie apple sauce.

We were looking to adopt a rescue dog, but they greatly misdiagnosed the breed and it just wasn't going to fit in with our two Aussies, so we had to pass.
Two excellent positives cam out of the journey; saw a Horey Marmot in the flesh, and while I couldn't get a picture, we did get about 45 seconds of viewing time.
Second, and most, was the two spotted fawns in the middle of the road. Based on the driving style of the woman behind me in the late model Honda cute-ute, she'd have run them down if I wasn't in front of her. We got about 30 seconds of good viewing time stopped in the middle of the highway.

How fun. We have several fawns living in our neighborhood. They are so adorable. But, I will say, we do not need more deer here! We are overrun with them now.
