Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I'm just the opposite. I'm really happy that the garden is winding down for the year. It was a lot of work trying to keep it protected from the deer, building all the structures and cages around the raised beds.

Next year will be much easier now that everything is set up, but for now I'm enjoying the vacation from dealing with lots of plants. I even had the energy to vacuum clean the entire house today. And it needed it!
Hmmm…and yet not a word about the widows that must be lined up on your couch like crows on the power line!

16 degrees this morning.

Might want to pick up a few birds put their beaks to the nipple and push.
do this with a couple all will learn.
Hey 41 this morning, :caf I keep water buckets in the coop. Never had the
nipples freeze.
Thanks. I'll try that. 41 degrees??? It was 27 degrees here. Had frozen water in the cups again.

My chickens sleep in the secure run, two wide open sides (covered with hardware cloth), 12 feet long, 8 feet high. The coop pretty much covers wall #3. Back wall is the metal shop wall.

25 degrees when we got up this morning!!

Yes, frozen water dishes outside. Inside heated water dish okay. Going to pick up a second heated waterer for the outside portion of the coop. They will have to learn to go in there for water during the winter. I'm not spending another winter going out several times a day to give them fresh unfrozen water. The freeze came way to early for that this year.
