I'm outside the city (Winlock) far enough that I can shoot guns whenever I want. Lots of deer that ate my garden the first year, now it's fenced.

So I have to ask, no venison in the freezer? Hubby would like deer coming to the garden…

It started about 2:30 this afternoon. Power is still out! The rain was coming down in sheets.

SW Washington is where I'm at. I have a couple of small gas generators but I know if I pull one out now and start it up the power will come back on. So I'll just wait it out this time. LOL

Wow! What am I, about 15 miles from you? No sign of that weather here all day!!! About 16 rain drops and a few clouds rolled through. Sorry about the power.

Where are you? We have a solar generator, it’s amazing. Like it so much better than gas or diesel.

A solar generator would never work here. We are in a forest. But we do have a propane generator that will power most things in the house. It comes on automatically, so at least the lights are on.

I'm in Graham but am actually closer to Kapowsin. Unincorporated county outside the Urban Growth Area, and enough wetlands to prevent any buildup. We actually only use about 2 acres of the shy 18 we have.

When we bought, I refused any HOA and tried to avoid any lahar danger areas. Needed 5 acres to have no animal restrictions in Pierce County.

Got the beans frozen and bagged. Two gallons so far.

I watched two of my hens fighting like they thought they were fighting cocks, jumping up in the air and pulling feathers off of each other. There was no blood, so it's all good. They'll sort things out eventually.

Looking good ! Mine are barely flowering...sadl y. I usually can my beans, get them out of the freezer ! Get yourself an auto pressure canner like the Nescoe, ITS AWESOME !!!

We are last street in town yes. It is small enough no mail in town you all go the past office.
Swedish flower sound like a interesting breed. If I was set up different maybe do something like that.
