well, I think I need to treat the hens again. Do you think the SafeGuard kills mites and lice?

I did that last week.

I've never had to treat lice or mites, but when I suspected them once I treated all of them with pyrethrin, the organic kind that is made strictly with chrysanthemums. Have not seen it in the feed stores. Ordered it on Amazon. It's not the same as Permethrin, which is synthetic.

I have to go to town early tomorrow, I'll see what I can find a T.S., I dont expect to find much but its close. I can go to Wilco after church Sunday.

yep, for years I have always kept all my wood ash in a metal garbage can just for my coop. I toss it in the sand that is on the coop floor, the hens like to dust bath in it.

@Hinotori uses this and it worked great last November.

I re-layered the coop floor with D.E. and ash, last week. I did a hinny wash on the birds today

Or just order pyrethrin on Amazon and have it by tomorrow -- no driving.
