I cooked some of my scapes with the rabbit and made pickled garlic scapes with the rest. Still a week before I can try the pickled scapes. I don't remember the exact recipe but it had vinegar, water, mustard seeds, salt and a little sugar, all brought to a boil then poured over the scapes in the jar. It's in the fridge now.

Alternatively if you can't find her a good home you could try giving her a hair cut, that makes the poof less of a target for others and gives her better vision so she can run away.

I was thinking about this idea. I think the feather base, cut off like that, would be something chickens would pick at too.

My hens gave me zero eggs today. Thought I'd get at least one.

Its the heat, we had. I gave mine rooster booster electrolytes in their water last Thur - Mon. they egg count dropped from 8/9 to 5 but I got 8 yesterday out of 12 hens. One whom is busy being the Nanny.
So, I dont know whats us with the other 3.

I really need at least one 11 egg day
good feed, oyster shell, lime, water, once a week grass, once/twice a week grubs , once a week rooster booster poultry cell ( vitamins) in their water, shade, ???????????????????????????

I have done all I can for them

That’s great ! I have a big fat one thumbing his (or her) nose at me. I told DH (loud enough for the bunny to hear) that I would cook it if someone would clean it for me ! Lol
