Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I think I mentioned that I cut back all my chive clumps that were growing out of control. One clump I cut back a month ago and it has nice fresh growth now. I think there are still a dozen clumps of chives in the patch.

The dill is starting to form flower heads but I'm not sure how to save it for making dill pickles later on. My cucumbers probably won't be ready for a couple months. Should I dry the flower heads and fronds? Freeze them? Plant more dill seeds to get a later crop???

Busy day today. I put up support poles and trellises for tomatoes, zucchinis and cucumbers. I keep a folding chair in the secure chicken run now so when I take a break from the garden I sit with the girls. LOL

Dug a few potatoes and a head of garlic today. The potato vines were dying and the garlic top had fallen over. They'll be part of supper tomorrow night.

We stopped at Orchid Thai Restaurant in Vancouver. It's a small place decorated in open beam industrial style, but the food is amazing with a beautiful presentation. If you go down that way, it's in the old downtown neighborhood and well worth a trip.

Thai good is a favorite of mine.
