We had to chase a couple old ladies in tonight. Usually they are in by 7:30, but 2 of the old gals stayed out until 8. I guess they are not slowing down.

So sorry Penny Jo. I know your life is difficult right now. I also know you are a survivor and a trouper. Richard is lucky to have you and Robert there for him. So glad he has a nurse coming by to do the bathing and hopefully more than that.

Going to be too hot!!!

We have so many cherries this year. I have invited neighbors to come get some. Usually the birds get the lion's share of the cherries here but this year we have so many it must have overwhelmed them.

Any one else notice the birds have moved out of the area this week? Is it the heat?

Bird population hasn't changed over here as far as I can tell.

99 degrees outside, 80 inside with the thermostat set on 80. The AC will kick on for the first time today pretty soon.

100 degrees on this side of the interstate. The pollinators are going crazy in the garden. I can hear the buzz even without my hearing aids.

I caved and dropped the thermostat temp down to 79. It feels great inside compared to the great outdoors. Filled the feed bowl for the old hens and chicks.
