Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

How are you doing, @pennyJo1960 ?
Cleaned out the back gutter to be honest I do not want to get up on the roof.
Only way to do the front one is to get on the roof.
I am cutting hardware cloth to fit in them.
Won't have to fight it again !

I wish I could grow dill. It never works out for me. I buy fresh dill every week of the year. It goes into my ranch dressing and it also goes with salmon and chicken soup. If I could figure it out, I'd grow it inside somewhere and keep grow lights on it, but if it won't grow in the garden, nor the greenhouse, I don't hold out much hope for it at this place.

I'm always thrilled with whatever does work out here. We certainly do not have green thumbs. 😁
I tried to grow dill a couple of times and it never worked out. One year the seeds germinated but the plants didn't grow well. The next year I planted seeds in the spring and none came up.

This year I had a lot of volunteer plants come up from the dill that didn't do well a few years ago. I watered them regularly and they've done great. Maybe the trick is to broadcast seeds in the fall and hope they germinate in the spring. ???

Unfortunately, it didn't work. Cooper is back in his own run and coop. Orpingtons are what I hope to raise around here, so it's best to have an Orpington rooster, and Ralphie is it.

I'm very sad for Cooper. Too bad he has to be so mean to Ralphie. By the end of the day, Ralphie was cowering inside the coop by himself, under the nesting boxes for protection. That won't do.

And giving Cooper away is not really an option at this point. He is too old to be counted on to fertilize eggs, and in our experience never did anyway. He is on his own. He's safe. Best I can do for him. 😥
