Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

This all started with cancer for me as well. I still get scans, with contrast, every three months, so those IV's have to be in my arms. They use an ultrasound to do that. But my veins are so scarred now that they have to draw blood from my hands but it's rarely without a couple pokes in the arms first. They never believe me.

One to go! I got three eggs today, but one is considerably larger than the other pullet eggs. I think it's from the big pullet with the orange leg band. She was raising a fuss in one of the next boxes this morning, scraping and turning around in circles like she knew she needed to do something but wasn't sure what it was. LOL

I think I didn't get one yet today from the pullet that laid the speckled egg yesterday. Maybe she'll lay one later.

It's good to move around. Still cloudy and cool on this side of the highway. I'm waiting on a red velvet cake that's almost ready to take out of the oven. Nothing fancy, just a Duncan Hineys box, but the grandkids will probably like it.

Not going to do frosting. I'll put a bowl of powdered sugar and a little strainer on the table and they can "frost" their cake themselves.

I had to use the four pullet eggs I had for the cake, and the speckled one I got yesterday didn't look great inside. Hopefully her egg quality improves over time.
