Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Mountain Ash can have all sorts of smell. Some are nicely honey scented, some dirty diapers, some skunk.
I have a shrub called Carolina Alspice which has nicely fragrant leaves and bark and pretty deep-red flowers which waft Eau de LePew about. Some clones of this species have spice scented flowers, but I got the skunk.
We have about 6 of these 'Skunk Trees' right around our "Compound" here...and the stink goes on for weeks and just about gags us...they have to GO !!!

Quote: Oh boy. That is actually a loaded question.Lots of conversations on Silkie threads here on BYC and on FB. Judges have differing opinions and the ABA and APA book have different definitions. But generally it is a split or space between the primary and secondary wing feathers. It's not a defect,It is a disqualification, so if you aren't breeding or showing it doesn't matter. I am going to be trying my hand at breeding, so I do not want to have wing issues to try to correct. It is the hardest thing to breed out, and then it may never be totally gone.

This storm Hurricane Sandy is getting very interesting.........folks on the E Caost better tie their chookies down !

I intend to watch the Seahawks game, since I missed the last one...and not much else today due to monsoonal rain today.....maybe make a pumpkin custard (in Ramekins)
IDK.
I also kinda can't waite for the Time change....it is annoying to have complete darkness at 8 A.M.
Hard on the kids at the bus stop too !
Some of them out here have to walk to their bus 'sheds'  with flash lights.
:/

My kids bus comes at 6:45, I can't wait for the time change either, though it won't really help the kids. My neighborhood does not allow bus sheds, and the bus does not allow umbrellas. Sometimes, if it is pouring and windy, I drive to the bus stop and have them wait in my car, but that is awfully early for me to be functioning enough to find my keys!
