It's time for me to start up the D again too. I take a multi, Super B Complex and am trying out high doses of Niacin (B3) to see how it works against depression. The flushing is a bit annoying but I read the "non-flushing" form is not as effective.Already there! Just be careful and consult your Dr. I'm currently taking 20,000iu D3 daily but will decrease it after a couple weeks to 15,000iu. D is fat soluble not water soluble so it can build up and affect your kidneys/liver. My chickens are getting a nice high dose twice a week too, and they're still laying fabulously!
What else do y'all take for overall health? I'm a bit proponent of supplements and correct eating for well-being, just wondering what others swear by?
As far as eating, I'm trying to get into the "Paleo" mindset. Although, I am researching goats and would like to try fresh goat milk as it seems it's more tolerable for our systems. Is it you, Jess, who are doing Paleo? What made you try it (if it is you, that is!)?
