Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

This came from a Book I have. I think the 'chapter' is called Hebrews or something.

Today I will strengthen every part of me that is weak and weary.
I will lay down every thing that weighs me down or holds me back.
I will lift my eyes where they belong and I will run with endurance and joy the race that is set before me.

Ohhh I love horses so much! I've wanted one since I was old enough to know what they were! My parents used to have horses and showed them as well. When my mom was pregnant with me it became to much work for her to handle so 1 month before I was born, they sold their last horse. For a long time growing up, I was so bummed about that, I was so close to having a horse!! I convinced my parents to at least sign me up for lessons every summer, so they did. Every summer through our recreation center they signed me up for horse back riding, the same ones year after year. Loved it!
This picture is amazing!

Quote: Awwwe, Scottie. What a sweet soul. I don't know if I've ever shared this but he was born an untrusting soul. Took some time, no ropes, no halter. Once he came around he was in my lap! What a joy he was. So glad we found you Jean for his forever home! Scottie and Sarah (my avatar) took care of me for a time. Had to part ways with both but what a joy they were! I will always hold them dear! Sarah and Scottie were like two peas in a pod! Someday they will reunite! I know they will remember each other. I still have Sarahs Babe (Luke) and Sarahs full sister (Spring). They are the last I have of those good days. I will hang on to them as long as I can. Only parting if it means losing the farm or life or death. Ugh, oh my soul. Such sadness to part ways.

Scottie and Sarah as weanlings

Awww, gorgeous! I love them!!

excuse the messy kid fingerprints on the window.... during these excessively rainy washington days my chickens decided it was time to chill out/dry off and watch some human entertainment through my front door window... Is this anything like watching tv for us?.!! lol!! My chickens are watching the daily episode of me chasing kids and animals around the house! CRACKS ME UP!!! Chicken TV! Who would've thunk it? :) Having free range chickens is super entertaining!

Hahaha, love it!! Silly girls!

Well I had the exam with a REAL eye Dr. this am. He had to remove more foreign body and rust ring from my eye. Put a contact bandage on my eyeball and said I have to come back tomorrow. Also bring a driver as I won't be able to see well when he gets done tomorrow. He really didn't like it when I told him I have no driver but I can drive by braille just fine. I am just about ready for this to be over. I am tired of the hurt and blurred vision!! And then there's the bill. Just for today $461.

Do you need a ride? I'm only about, what? 20 mins from you? I could easily swoop up there and grab ya n go. Lol.

Jess, I guess your kids are a bit too small?

I was six when carrying firewood to the wood box got to be one of my chores, and there were people in the family who took that as more evidence of just how terribly spoiled I was, since for my parents, that was a preschool-level job.
John has been helping, but he IS only 6 and when it's pouring I don't want him tracking chicken crap and mud through the house to bring it in, so I do it. I actually have been making all 3 of them help. Jeanine is less than enthused about having to carry her single piece of wood through the basement, up the stairs, and into the living room. She's such a prissy thing! LOL William (2) does great and keeps telling me how strong he is while he carries his 1 piece of wood all the way, and John can carry a 5gal. bucket with about 4 pieces of wood all the way in.

Quote: Yes this is the ongoing from the trip to ER Friday.
Quote: Yes and I must say the outside of her girl cave looks VERY cool. Of course she didn't show us the inside. I think it's one of them "no boys allowed" places !!!
Ah, yes. No boys! LOL. Girls can have CAVES too! But the outside sports one of Rustlers bells! Thats part of the coolness! The inside is a secret.
Ohhh Yeah baby !!!!

Quote: Well ya'all can feel free to "dress up" when ya come shopping for metal art. I don't mind seeing the pretty ladies all dressed up.

Hahaha, well I will keep that in mind CR!

Nice!!

Alright, firewood in and stacked. I can't wait to get our new flat screen mounted above the TV tomorrow or Friday; then I'll have room to stack firewood in the house! Right now we're having to stack it about 1' high and 6' long underneath the hearth. LOL.

Just made a peppermint mocha and the kids are watching Cinderella while William naps. I am thinking about going down to the frozen basement and snuggling under the covers on the guest bed to watch TV since the upstairs one is occupied! teehee

One more thing: My chickens are looking amazing! I hadn't realized how dull their combs had gotten. I have yet to figure out if they had Cocci or something like mites as I treated for both; didn't want to take any more chances with my babies. Suddenly they have these nice bright combs though! Kinda sounds like it may have been mites.
