phew, back from work. Yes, I now work - Which I honestly must admit is starting to be too much for me. I want some extra money for running this place, but there's a lot to do on this farm and this morning/evening proved it. . . Pretty sure the place will do so well during spring though that I'll quit my current job.
Anyway, all of my Olive Eggers have now hatched (but the Araucana died in its shell.. . It was a splash. and TUFTED!!
) One of the chicks is peeping its brains out and in an incubator though. . . Poor thing has had splayed legs for days now, and is just now beginning to stand and walk on its own. And eat. If it doesn't get any better by tomorrow, I'm culling the poor noisy fella.
Otherwise, all the other chicks are doing very well under their foster mommy!
Which means I'll be setting some Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, and Black Ameraucana eggs as well as some Olive Egger, Araucana, and Wheaten Marans eggs tomorrow!!
