Yes, this is true, but it's a residential neighborhood in the middle of nowhere. The neighbor next to me is fine with it, but the people behind us are unfriendly and just plain rude... I could see them trying to cause a problem.

phew, back from work. Yes, I now work - Which I honestly must admit is starting to be too much for me. I want some extra money for running this place, but there's a lot to do on this farm and this morning/evening proved it. . . Pretty sure the place will do so well during spring though that I'll quit my current job.

Anyway, all of my Olive Eggers have now hatched (but the Araucana died in its shell.. . It was a splash. and TUFTED!!

) One of the chicks is peeping its brains out and in an incubator though. . . Poor thing has had splayed legs for days now, and is just now beginning to stand and walk on its own. And eat. If it doesn't get any better by tomorrow, I'm culling the poor noisy fella.

Otherwise, all the other chicks are doing very well under their foster mommy!

Which means I'll be setting some Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, and Black Ameraucana eggs as well as some Olive Egger, Araucana, and Wheaten Marans eggs tomorrow!!

Bonneville Power Cut them for free in their "Danger Tree" program...they were too close to their wires...see the pics I posted, you can see the wires.
A sister tree on the property line almost as big as this one in the picture blew over to the North in the wind storm 3 tears ago...and crushed a mobile home that was here, apparently vacant...but they cut the wood up and have it stacked here still....You guys are all great for sending info, I love it !!!

I am just done with 'work' too, finished the 4th coop, it is ready to move the Duke and his tribe of OEs into tomorrow...that will be fun (NOT!!)
And added 4 more nest boxes to the Cuckoo Coop...and tomorrow I separate the Cuckoo Coop and and build a door, and the BBS marans get to have 1 side, and the Cuckoos the other side.
The 4th Coop...is half Blue Ameraucana and the other half is going to be for Duke and his girls.
I sold 2 California meat rabbits and 1 Blue (with the gold hackle) OE cockeral to a couple just south of me that have black banty cochins...I do not know if that pairing will be wise as the cockeral will get awful big for the little girls.....

But they are to come back and get Guineas too....

wow.just had another buying party: 4 keets and 1 more blue OE roo...jeeze and they wanted hens, as did the last ppl...and the ppl I sold to last spring still want more of my hens...I am glad I got more keets from Tailfeatherz1 right now I expected Justbugged ???

I sold my mutt chicks at a yard sale.. I listed it on CL and at the bottom I said ask about my chicks for sale...

I had 5 people within 30 mins of the listing show up for the babies
they all sold to the first 2 that showed even tho they were mutts

its crazy how many want live baby chicks this time of year.
