I hope everyone remembers we have the last poultry show of this year Saturday Dec. 4th. The Washington Feather Fanciers will hold their Winter Brisk at the fairgrounds in Chehalis. The fairgrounds have really raised their rates, so the club is attempting to pay for the show by auctioning off many gorgeous pairs of show birds donated by members. This is a really good opportunity to acquire top birds at very reasonable prices. There will also be private individuals with birds for sale and a fun raffle. There are food vendors on grounds and a catered dinner that night. Come and join us!

OK I se you guys need a little education. Now I don't mind punkin pie but if ya REALLY wan't something good ya gotta do SQUARSH pie. Yup thats right my late gramma use to make it and that is what she called it was squarsh pie. Now I tell ya what. If somebody gave it to ya you would think it was the bestest punkin pie ya ever had.

I would be up for another potluck. Depending on location and which of these mean people are gonna be there.

I forgot to mention that the Washington Feather Fanciers is also offering a free poultry showmanship class for kids interested in learning how to show their birds. There will also be goodie bags and a coloring contest.

Enumclaw, Enumclaw. . . . Umm. . . .

That's a 4 1/2 hour drive there.

It's nowhere near as bad as going to Snohomish, but still. . . . That's a long drive, especially on the way back. . . .

I swear I should rebel and devise my own meet-up for more Peninsula based people.

- Course, it would contain, what, 4 people?

I hear ya. Like last year it was 100+ miles for us. But I also understsand that it should be where the majority can make it. Unfortunately that is one of the benefits (?) of living away from the city. Just imagine down here. If we had one of our own it would be like me and DW and Lasombra. What a party. Hey at least I wouldn't have to worry about eating too much and ruining my girly figure.

I am in Sumner/Auburn area so Enumclaw works for me but I never have been out on the peninsula and wish to see it.

The North Washington State Coast is a gift from a benevolent Creator. I can't think of a place closer to the Creator. It is still the only place that I think I could leave my daughter's remains.

Okay I think enough of us are interested, and I am willing to do the leg work, but T Hi I may need you more than you think. So what date? The Saturdays in February are 5, 12,19, 26, or make a proposal for what is best for you.
