Oh gorgeous - every one of them! I cannot WAIT for spring to come so my husband and his buddy can start building my coop! Saving up that beer money (and building supplies cash) now to motivate the men!

Girlfriend I would get a pumpkin pie and put it in a blender and make a milk shake out of it !
It is Thanksgiving !
You have to have pumpkin pie, and there is many ways to make it (like I just did) without so much fat!!
After all, it is a squash !
50801_nov_26_2010_021.jpg

Pumpkin pie 'mousse' with little sugar, added molasses instead, and no reduced milk, I used half the recipe, and 1/4 the sugar, + 2T molasses, and 1 cup whipping cream.
The sugars are way fatter than the fats.
So I am and have for some time, been an Atkins fan, specially cuz I am celiac and silly carbs are FAT...and sugars are FAT!!!
But you have to have a treat once in a while, and squash mousse is awesome !
Now I see Imp has sent a recipe too ! Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! Well, the pumpkin pie isn't my favorite part of the dinner anyway... Well, I had a piece of pumpkin pie a couple weeks ago anyway, but what I've always thought made the pumpkin pie good was the whipped cream and I had a bowl of whipped cream while everyone else was having their pie

Cranberry sauce is actually my favorite thanksgiving food. teehee

Oh yes, it is awesome and so good for you too (nix the sugar) but you can have it all year, I make cranberry-walnut dressing with olive oile and some red wine vinegar and cranberry sauce, I also do cranberry syrup, for muffins and pancakes which I do not have very often due to the high carb count...but yum!
Cranberry sauce is also very good to make for a pork loin marinade or chicken marinade...and dump some in a bowl, add a diced small jalapeno, some fresh chopped garden tomatoes or diced canned peaches and you have a great chutney for pork loin, white fish species (like cod) or add lemon juice and use it on the side with salmon.

Everything went great

Hardest part of everything was probably having anesthesia, which you'd have for any surgery. I was paranoid of it going in and I didn't like it coming out either. Took a while to wear off and I was throwing up. I'm definitely fine now, though. They didn't seem worried that the throwing up would hurt anything and it didn't so I'm good

If you're interested in it, it's definitely worth looking in to. There are a lot of hoops to jump through, mostly because of the insurance, but if you take it one step at a time, it's not too bad. I went to Portland for my surgery, but I'm sure there are good surgeons in Seattle also. I prefer dealing with Portland traffic to Seattle traffic. lol
