Unfortunately, she killed all five of my first set of five EE's, tore out chicken wire that was gun stapled in with one inch staples. She is obsessed and is now also obsessed with the goats. We have two other dogs that trained very well with the chickens and goats. She was my mom's dog, who passed away last year. I'm thinking she'll be happier to be a town dog, but she doesn't like kids either, so that's rough when the grandkids are here.
Anyway, Goldie is sitting on my son's lap right now. She loves to be petted and trills so prettily when you give her attention. I almost fell asleep earlier when I was petting her! I didn't want to put her down, but, sigh....chores!
Saw your hubby's videos, hilarious! He should do more.

That does. I emailed them all, and the Bellingham and Chehalis stores carry food-grade DE. The Port Orchard store said their DE was "unlabeled" but Madhatter said that's where he gets his.

They're so far, I never go to those places...

I got mine in Auburn at the Auburn Dels, sorry I thought I said that.

Have you found any yet?

Catching up on the thread here!

Speaking of other topics, I was wondering if anyone from Washington is going to the Spring Fling Show in Hamilton Montana on May 2-3?

Hmm I dont remember if I knew about it! Will have to look into it, got any helpful info?

Are you going to the PNPA show this weekend? If so see you there!!

Awww I recently sold all of my cochin girls they would of been perfect for broodies! I have one ofmy girls broody right now, I gave her some duck eggs LOL

There is a show this weekend in Stevenson. Border of OR and WA. You should come if you can!!

OMG.. you want a broody? I will sell you one of my two black broody silkie girls for $10. I can't get them to stop!!! Kept them in a wire bottom cage all night on bricks to ensure frigid air flow under them, locked them out from the nests every day for a week... and they just go right back to the circle of hay in the nest spot they picked!!! Even moved them to a different coop and locked them in!!!

It means they have gone hormonal in the head and want to hatch out chicks and raise a brood of chicks. It's something that some breeds still have in them. A "natural" desire to raise a family... which they seem to do at the oddest times at times. No matter how many times you tell them, they just don't listen. Hay and other nesting materials won't hatch. (I take the eggs)

This is put on by the Rocky Mountain Poultry Association. There will be two APA/ABA sanctioned shows. Brian Decker and Paul Weiser will be the judges.

There is a state meet for call ducks, orpingtons, plym rock, polish, serama, and wyandottes.
Special Meets for ameraucanas and AGB.

They are going to have a chick/egg auction. There will be ducks and goslings from Holderreads. I am going basically for the auction. I am going to bring some chicks and some hatching eggs.

I will be bringing a couple of my birds, but they are in "poor feather" because it is breeding season.

Not going to the PNPA show...
