Lol your welcome to post here!!

I think I may have some Black Silkie Cockerels available to anyone interested. Come from top breeder bloodlines if that matters at all.

I am still not sure who to get rid of but there are a total of 3 I have. I am also not 100% sure 2 of them are cockerels, but I think so LOL

Welcome yall

Hey all, I'm getting Ameraucana chicks this spring from a local breeder and will have 3 extras to sell. Won't know the sex till they crow (or not)

. Also will be wanting to give away a 2 year old easter egger hen at that time (because I will have too many chickens). Don't know the exact timing since I don't even have the chicks yet, but just wanted to throw this out there for people. PM me if you might be interested and I'll contact you when the time comes. I'm in Seattle.

Also, I'd be interested if anyone has a splash silkie hen by any chance. Just 'cause.

Where's Dels? DE in Port Orchard, Enumclaw, Yelm... If I can only remember to stop by the feed store next time I'm in those places... If only the Woodinville store had food grade DE! >.<

That does. I emailed them all, and the Bellingham and Chehalis stores carry food-grade DE. The Port Orchard store said their DE was "unlabeled" but Madhatter said that's where he gets his.

They're so far, I never go to those places...

Hi;
I just found out about the BackYardChickens Forum today from a link from Ideal Poultry. So I joined and am really excited about finding out about all the Washingtonians on this forum. I have been looking for a few more silkies or featherfoot chickens to round out my flock. I usually have 20 hens and 3-4 roosters, its a mixed flock of banties for brooders, easter eggers and large chochins. I have been freeranging my chickens during weekends only because of the eagles.
I live near Port Orchard on 5 acres, used to have horses and a goat but no large animals now. Just my wonderful chickens.
I went to a poultry auction yesterday but most of the birds were 1. Old 2. sick or 3. mixed breeds or 4. eggs only. I don't have a incubator yet but really want to try that next.
I think that this is great, it is so hard to get local information about chickens plusI'd really rather get my chickens local from fellow forum members.

Welcome to the forum Featherfoot! We have lots of fun people and interesting topics!!

Speaking of other topics, I was wondering if anyone from Washington is going to the Spring Fling Show in Hamilton Montana on May 2-3?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am not going to the show but would like to know about any shows closer to home - like in Washington/Oregon. I would like to find a few banties/broody hens for the eggs that my other hens won't sit on.
