Hello Vancouver I am in Lacenter visiting my parents for the week. I live in Idaho now but grew up my whole live here in Battleground. Welcome to chickens, they are a ball I started with 9 and now have 25

That sounds about what it was at the Everett Co-op. However, I never bought it because I didn't ever think I'd need so much. Another member here in this area drove all the way there to buy it and it wasn't pure DE. It was brown instead of powdery white. If it is the pure DE, I'd say that is a good deal.

Yup if its pure white FOOD GRADE and LOW SILICA content good deal! I get mine at Del's now.
Silkie is right, we drove to the co op to get it and its not the right stuff, still useful but only in the summertime when the birds are drinking alot because it has alot of clay in it, winter time birds are not drinking as much to wash it from there system, or to use it as a dust.
I bought the right stuff at Dels mix it in there feed and dust them and used most of the other stuff for the ground.

Good price!

Before I found it locally I paid over $25 for just 6lbs!! Buying it online is such a rip off if you can get it locally!

I tried Del's for DE but they didn't have any. I got the right kind-Food Grade. I made sure of that. I got mine from Bill's Country Farm and Feed in Enumclaw.

Just one more question....I can still eat my hens eggs right? I also sell my eggs so I wouldn't want to sell them if they wouldn't be safe.

I use DE more in the summer than winter, I fill a wadeing pool with play sand and a few cups of DE the birds dust away and have a grand time. We eat our eggs, i also sell eggs when i have extra and no problems what so ever...

It is useless though once it gets wet thats why i mainly use it when it is dry.

I got mine in Yelm for 17.00 for 50 lbs and it last for ever as long as it dosent get damp....

We have another snow storm, expecting 8-10 inches tonight. Normally by spring break (started today) the farmers plant hay and all that, but we still have tons of snow. I cant wait for it all to be gone!

Sheila is that you?
Yes you can eat the eggs, I even eat the eggs after I ivermec my birds, I am still alive and kicking.

Best of luck, is this

We had 6-8 inches of snow on Thursday, all melted by next AM, I made 2 snowmen and they both fell over and broke, but atleast I got to make some this year!! Then about 1-2 on Friday. There is still bits of snow to be found around but the most of it is the snowman pile still.

I like the snow, atleast the little bits we get LOL
