I still love that show...and the funniest part is, my dear dear DH adores the show and can watch it over and over and over....and he still does the old nasal voice "It's wrapped in plastic"

Thats funny. I have done the same thing. I worked with a guy who always bummed and never had any chew. One day I made a point to let him see me putting it back in the can. For some strange reason he never bummed again so I no longer needed to save it.

Personally, I'd want to be slightly closer to a hospital/shopping, etc. Oh and you'd need a 4wd for sure...there is LOTS of snow up in Republic! I'm in Okanogan (Pleasant Valley, which is up Loup Loup Pass). I am about 25 minutes from Wal-mart or 20 minutes from the hospital. The few times I've had to call the police--it is a 30 to 45 minute response time.
