How old are they? I may be interested (along with that roo and some others)
Here's the irony. "That Roo" - Is the second black pullet.
Yes, I actually sexed my own bird wrong. . . I mean, really, this little gal is just now telling me she's a girl, after the longest time of having, and still having, a huge bright red comb, very iridescent feathers, a thin neck, and a boyish voice. Nope, she's a girl! The other two boys already have saddle and hackle feathers coming in, and her back is completely smooth and saddle free, plus her tail is exactly as a pullet's tail should be.
So, she's 3 months old, the other one is exactly 1 year old.
I now apparently do not have any Ameraucana cockerels available. . .
Oh and did I ever mention? Yesterday a herd of Elk came through our pasture, and had my Yak on high guard. He's never seen Elk before, so he just stood there, staring straight at them. . . They did their own business in the very back, then once they saw me, they inched away and into the neighbor's forest, leaping right over my fence without touching it.
Any way to get the girls south?? I might be interested in them...got pics??
