Do you remember when you wrote letters to friends and family or when you actually talked with them face-to-face...instead of facebook or texting. We just had a conversation like this with the kids. It was so funny, we went to a yardsale once when the kids where much younger (I don't think DD was even here yet). The boys were amazed at the giant black DVDs....how big a player...wow, how big....they were asking all these questions. DH and I went to look.....They were records.

We have
4RIR, 2BSL, 3RSL, 1BR, 1CM, 1WS, 1Barnie, 4EE, 2OE, 4FBCM, 1BO and 1 buff brama banty roo all living together and they all get along just fine.
Yes we like variety, plus some of these were given to us by someone who could no longer have chickens in the city.
Also some breeds are calmer/ friendlier than others.

today is day 26 for the duck eggs, I noticed this morning, that they are turning more and more dusky, and the air cells are remaining bright blue...so I am guessing the babies are due to arrive shortly!!
Poor little lonely ducky "daffy" will be so happy to have friends !

I do not think feeding a dog raw chickens is a good idea from both the disease/parasite standpoint, and the fact that I really and truly do not want my dogs to EVER realize that these birds are food!!!

OK, it is Daily Duckles time !!

These shots from last night as poor patient DH watched TV with his new best buddy "Daffy Duckles" who loves to sit on DH's shoulder...perfectly happy snuggled in your ear...the little dude/dudette 'dabbles' little kisses on your skin when he /she is happy....so cute !!!!!

He/she is thinking I am going to scoop him away from DH...so he tries to burrow in deeper...

DH is trying to be annoyed about the little dude, and act horrified the little babe will poop on him, so far, he never has pooped on DH..

I think they both fell asleep in a cat nap while I cooked dinner...
