Hey, can anyone recommend a hotel in Monroe? For the Chicken show (DH says this - he is too funny). We are only finding 1 or 2 when we pull up priceline or travelocity....they keep taking us to Everett, etc. Does anyone know of a nice clean "hole in the wall" they would recommend? Otherwise we are booking with Guesthouse Inn Suites. Help, anyone? If I was not so concerned about snow we would just pull our 5th wheel over.

OK, so who's hatching this weekend? I just moved my Serama eggs from Jen into the hatcher.

Sunday is day 21 for me, but I heard Serama's like to come on day 19 or so. So I fired up the hatcher this morning and just popped them in there after quickly candling to make sure I had the air sac up. One was an obvious early quitter, the rest looked real dark in there so hoping the 5 all make it! I didn't wait long enough to check for movement.

Tomorrow night I'll move the rest into the hatcher, 6 BLRW, 6 1st gen. Olive Eggers and 5 cochin bantams. So excited!!!

I replied to your request earlier. Best Western is right next to the one you mentioned. The one you mentioned is a lovely pink place. Monroe is really not that big of a tourist attraction. There are those two hotels and one other one that is even more sketchy in town. They are only here for events at the fairgrounds and as a last pit stop before going over the pass. Oh, somehone else mentioned the Dutch Cup in Sultan. Don't know anything about that one.

If it were me, I'd look for a nice Bed and Breakfast in Snohomish which is only 10-15 min's away from the fairgrounds, much closer than Everett. Someone posted a link earlier to one they recommended. But Everett is the nearest big city.​

Heather, I've been there done that. All 3 girls were born in July or August, all have birthdays within 1 month of each other! I vote for Aug 4 or Aug 13. Those are my younger 2 girls b-days!

Oh, I am sorry, I had not read yet. I will go and catch up and read. Thank you everyone. DH and I where just getting on and looking at motels. Would love to brng my 5th wheel....but just too afraid of the weather being nasty.Again, thank you so much.
